There is so much to love about Cape Cod wedding venues. To start with, fried oysters, lobster rolls, ice cream cones, and the awesome smell of the Atlantic Ocean!
Most of our Cape Cod wedding couples chose to have their wedding down the Cape so that they can make a whole celebration weekend out of it. Cape Cod rehearsal dinners can be relaxed clam bakes, with all of the delicious fixings like corn on the cob, potatoes, and steamer clams!

The Cape Club Resort

Picture yourself nestled atop one of the highest vistas on all of Cape Cod wedding venues, against a backdrop so grand that you feel like royalty. Imagine walking down marbled foyer floors to enter a Cape Cod wedding ballroom with crystal chandeliers and towering cathedral ceilings–all for your wedding! Envision sitting on an intimate porch overlooking lush gardens where guests sip champagne as they watch the sunset over verdant landscapes and the Atlantic Ocean.
It’s one of the youngest venues on Cape Cod, and definitely a dream wedding venue!
Ask for Wendy. She’s amazing.
“My husband and I got married at The Cape Club in East Falmouth on 10/14/17 and it was one of the best decisions of our engagement! Planning from NJ, I was nervous about being so far away from the East Falmouth wedding venue, but throughout the whole process, Wendy was able to answer all the questions we had and met with us on site each time we stopped in to visit (even when it was last minute!).
When it rained on our big day and we had to change our outdoor ceremony event plans, The Cape Club in East Falmouth team worked diligently to make sure our indoor ceremony event was just as beautiful. The food was amazing!!! Six months prior to the big day, at our tasting, we met with the chef who walked us through all of our options and made it clear he would create our wedding dinner however we envisioned it. For the first course, we opted for clam chowder instead of a salad and I am still getting comments on how delicious it was! Thank you to everyone at The Cape Club East Falmouth wedding venue, especially Wendy, Ami, Corey, and Kelsey. You truly made our wedding event the best day of our lives!”
Wychmere Beach Club
23 Snow Inn Rd, Harwich Port, MA 02646 wychmerebeachclub.com
Phone: +1 508-432-1000
Wychmere Beach Club weddings have the special option of a private beach. It tops as one of my favorite Cape Cod wedding venues. I also love that this venue has a boat dock, which is awesome for sunset, and swimming pools, for early day lounging!
Wychmere Beach Club in Harwich Port has a beautiful Grand ballroom hall overlooking the water. This luxurious coastal venue features modern spaces for couples’ weddings, including a lawn space and stunning ballroom with white and wooden accents. Wychmere Beach Club is 30 minutes from Seagull beach.
Inside the luxurious Wychmere Beach Club ballroom hall, wooden beams support a white ceiling, while a modern grey hardwood floor runs underfoot. The ballroom property is a beautiful clean space to host your wedding ceremony and reception.
When looking at wedding venues, the experience of the coordinators is very important! Lindsay and Brooke both epitomize excellent service, and I have no doubts that they will take care of my couples and their families fully! They can organize, coordinate, and host weddings with their eyes closed!
“Wychmere Beach Club saved my wedding. As any bride understands, planning and executing a wedding can be particularly stressful, and this year the stress of planning and orchestrating a wedding in the midst of a pandemic has been unique and challenging. The entire staff at Wychmere Beach Club made our wedding ceremony and reception, and our guests, feel safe, comfortable and luxurious. The restaurant food is amazing and they truly take care of all events. What could have been a difficult day (as we moved our wedding up 6 weeks to a new date with a significantly reduced guest count) was instead the best weekend of our lives. The warmest thank you to Wychmere Beach Club for working with us, taking great care of us and making our wedding such a special day. I highly recommend working with the Wychmere Beach Club, not only for their quality staff, but for the beautiful ocean venue, setting and feel of the space.” -Kristen
“Our ceremony was on the deck overlooking the beach, and our reception was in the ocean room upstairs. All of our guests had an amazing time, thought the venue was beautiful, and loved the restaurant. Would highly recommend!” – Rachel

We plan to return for our anniversary.” – Caitlyn

Oh – and the junior suite my husband and I stayed in the most amazing hotel room I’ve ever stayed in!!! I can’t wait to go back. Chatham Bars Inn
297 Shore Rd, Chatham, MA 02633
Phone: +1 508-945-0096
In the summer of 1914, the historic Chatham Bars Inn opened its doors and welcomed the world, beginning a tradition of gracious hospitality that lives on to this day. Prominent Boston stockbrocker Charles Ashley Hardy acquired the land in 1912, and within one year, the main inn, nine seaside cottages, and a golf course had been constructed. With deep-sea and harbor fishing available at its doorstep, the historic Chatham Bars Inn quickly became a popular hunting lodge for smortsmen.
The Chatham Bars Inn has hosted the Dutch Royal Family, Henry Ford, and William Rockefeller and became a year-round resort in 1988, with extensive renovations taking place over the course of several years. The result is a marriage of timeless character and classic historic New England charm with the sophisticated comforts of today.
This Chatham Bars Inn is huge, with plenty of spaces for guests to stay and make a weekend of out if, and plenty of dining spaces for cocktail hour and Cape Cod wedding venue receptions. My favorite restaurant is the Beach House Grill.
Chatham Bars Inn is one of the most ideal Cape Cod resort wedding venues because there’s ample space for accommodations, so that your guests can all stay in one place together. The waterfront hotel makes it so comfortable to host your friends and family. There’s lots of room. There is a beautiful garden to walk through. Having a private beach in Chatham is a dream, to be able to wake up to the Massachusetts coastal Atlantic Ocean.
“I have been traveling to Chatham and visiting the Chatham Bars Inn venues(CBI) for 7 years and the beautiful landscape of the hotel property never ceases to amaze me and that is only one of the reasons I chose this resort for my wedding at the end of June. The service is excellent, the quality of the inn and surrounding cottages (including rooms, restaurants) beach house, pool, and spa cannot be beat. The food for the wedding weekend was delicious as expected since it was prepared in-house. It was a perfect hotel to host our family; There was so much room for everyone. I give this Cape Cod wedding venue and its staff a 10 out 10 and I would absolutely recommend having a wedding at CBI. This Cape Cod wedding venue is a perfect dream wedding venue!”
“Most beautiful historic venue in New England. We held our rehearsal dinner, wedding, reception, after party and brunch here everything exceeded our expectations. The service, food, accommodations and spa were impeccable. Clarissa was truly fabulous. Thank you all at CBI for the most wonderful wedding weekend I ever could have imagined.” – Lisa
Ocean Edge Resort and Golf Club
2907 Main St, Brewster, MA 02631
Phone: +1 508-896-9000
Ocean Edge Resort weddings have a variety of spaces to chose from: Everything from a private beach, ballroom, tent, and an outdoor terrace! This Cape Cod coastal mansion can host 500 guests!
Ocean Edge Resort is one of my favorites because guests make a big destination out of your wedding, and typically stay for the entire weekend. Ocean Edge Resort is an awesome choice for a Cape Cod wedding venue.
The property can host can host a maximum of 500 guests for their wedding at the Ocean Edge Resort. It is a lovely way to spend a waterfront weekend. The hotel has an amazing restaurant, and it’s a comfortable hall and hotel to host all of your guests.
“We held our wedding at this Cape Cod wedding venue in May, and the venue was absolutely great from start to finish – our guests really enjoyed the views of the ocean and the sunset as they gathered for drinks at the Ocean Terrace, the sea breeze and sounds of the waves during our beach ceremony, and the ambience and delicious dinner served at the Carriage House hall. Several of them came up to us afterward to comment on how much they enjoyed the food (lobster and seafood buffets especially), the atmosphere, and their overall experience, and how the weekend felt like a relaxing beach vacation for them.
If you’re thinking of having a beach wedding on Cape Cod I can’t recommend Ocean Edge highly enough, not only for the beauty of the property itself but for the excellent food, staff, and service!” – Jeff
The Popponessett Inn at New Seabury
95 Shore Drive West, Mashpee, MA 02649
Phone: (508) 539-8200
“Look no further, The Popponesset Inn in New Seabury is one of the best wedding venues on Cape Cod for your wedding! Wilma was the absolute best and helped us pull off our wedding without any stress. Somehow, we pulled off a wedding in 8 weeks and it wouldn’t have happened without her! The rest of the staff was also amazing day of, as well as the food. Everyone felt safe and comfortable during our event and we have received so many compliments on how well the wedding was done. Our original wedding was supposed to be for 140 ppl at a different venue which was ultimately canceled. We were so happy with them from the initial meeting until the wedding day. We married on 10/2/2020 at the Popponesset Inn with less than 50 people in their outdoor tent and it was an absolutely perfect day! We never imagined our wedding to be like this but ultimately it was better than we ever expected regardless of the current circumstances. This wedding turned out to be more of our vision than our original wedding. Thank you, Wilma and the rest of the staff for making our wedding at the Popponesset Inn an absolute dream!” -Kristin
“Our wedding at the Popponesset Inn was truly a dream come true! As soon as my husband and I laid eyes on the Poppy tent we knew we wanted to get married there. It is one of the most beautiful Cape Cod wedding venues. The romantic inn venue is beyond beautiful and all of our guests were blown away by the views of the ocean. We worked with Dawn throughout our planning process and on the day of the wedding she was a miracle worker! She kept us extremely organized at the In and made sure every last detail was in place. I am so appreciative of all of her hard work to help make our day happen. I wanted a beach wedding, and the Inn was the perfect setting for me. The food was amazing and our guests loved the options that the stations provided. I wish I could get married at the Popponesset Inn over and over again!” – Annie
The Ridge Club

The Ridge Club is one of Cape Cod’s most charming wedding venues.
There are so many options for romantic outdoor ceremonies – from the stunning outdoor patio to under the magnificent tent. This open-air space shelters couples from the elements while still allowing for beautiful natural light for the romantic outdoor affair. The country club features beautiful garden event spaces surrounding the traditionally New England style clubhouse with a grey shingled roof, light-colored siding, and white accents. With brick underfoot, this Cape Cod space is top-of-the-line classic elegance, which is rare in Cape Cod wedding venues. Inside, couples will find a garden-inspired indoor ballroom. “The Ridge Club was the perfect romantic venue to host my wedding. We utilized their tented patio and covered patio event space. Not only was the space gorgeous and allowed for transformation into the exact picture I had in mind but Kristie was phenomenal to work with. She was extremely responsive to emails and phone allowed for multiple visits for me, my fiancé and my wedding planner, and was extremely flexible with timing as well as vendor arrivals for set up and break down. My wedding was so perfect that I’m looking for reasons to host another event at The Ridge Club soon.” – Kristen
“We absolutely loved working with Kristie from the The Ridge Club. She helped us put together a beautiful, outdoor, 70 person romantic wedding event in just under 2 weeks. She was so helpful in getting everything organized – she was always quick to respond to a call or email, and a pleasure to work with overall. On the day of the wedding, everything went so smoothly even given the difficult circumstances. We were blown away by how perfectly everything came together. Our friends and family cannot stop talking about how perfect this setting was for our wedding event and how fabulous the Ridge Club was as a Cape Cod wedding venue. How much is a wedding on Cape Cod?
My couples spend between $50,000-$250,000 on their Cape Cod wedding in totality. The Knot revealed that couples in the Cape Cod region spent an average of $55,000 to wed last year, which I think is accurate for maybe a Wednesday wedding. Cape Cod does rank as fifth most expensive place for weddings among US regions surveyed by the Knot.
Can you get married on a private beach in Cape Cod?
Yes, and no. Some beaches require a fee and a license. Many venues have private beaches that are available to their wedding couples!
What is a good rain backup plan for a beach wedding?
When it rains in Cape Cod, it’s either a nice refreshing drizzle or a torrential downpour! Many Cape Cod wedding venues have a tent or a ballroom for a rain backup plan, which I would recommend if you’re having a Cape Cod wedding.
A wedding tent can be either a permanent structure, or a smaller 10×10″ tent, like the ones you see at outdoor farmer’s markets that are great for temporary tent structures that you can use in a pinch! Rest assured, we’re not talking REI camping tents. The style of most Cape Cod tented weddings are usually white in color and very classy.
How do I tour wedding venues Cape Cod?
Email them on their website to take a tour through their harbor, garden, tented areas, hotel room options and spaces for events. It’s important to visualize what your wedding will look like – whether it’s an indoor wedding reception, tented wedding reception, garden cocktail hour, and other harbor events.
Touring in person is always ideal, but during the pandemic, many Cape Cod wedding venues are also offering video virtual tours of their indoor reception spaces, hotel rooms, and of the entire location.
While looking at a photo or two is nice of Cape Cod wedding venues, it’s awesome to be able to go to the Massachusetts location to look at the hotel room that you’d be staying in, and really getting a feel for what it would be like to walk around the gardens.
Many couples tell me that when they tour wedding venues, they make a whole weekend out of it to see multiple at once! Give them all a ring on the phone so that you can stack all of your wedding venues tours together!
Is a country club a good option for a Cape Cod Wedding venue?
A Massachusetts country club is one of best places to find fun, friends and good times. There’s no other place like it for golfing or just kicking back with your pals at a refreshing drink by the pool while enjoying some tasty appetizers!
A private country club is an exclusive membership organization that has top-of-the line facilities such as an expansive golf course, stellar dining options, pro shops and more. These award winning establishments boast not only fantastic recreation but also provide social opportunities when you need them most – whether its meeting new people on one of their many activities lists or catching up with buddies over drinks during happy hour. Many of them also have hotel rooms and inn space for 200 guests or more to stay in.
A country club is a great option for a Cape Cod Wedding venue because many of these venues are award winning locations that are used to handling 200 guests and more.
Some have garden spaces, tented lounge areas, harbor views, and plenty of room for events. You can bet that the street is clean, the reception space is functional and attrative and of course – location, location, and location.
In additional to membership fees, country clubs are very used to hosting big events, especially when there are parties on the harbor!
Many couples like to host their events at golf clubs because they can walk down the street and be right at their abode. No need to worry about rambunctious drivers on the street because it’s a private location. Whether your indoor or outdoors, a country club is a great place to host your event.
What is the best town to stay at in Cape Cod?
Falmouth is a town in the southwestern tip of Cape Cod that makes for an ideal home base during your day trips to Martha’s Vineyard or even visits to Newport, Rhode Island. With many great shops and restaurants on Main Street, as well as some expansive walking trails outside of downtown Falmouth make it one you should visit if considering staying near Woods Hole Harbor where ferries depart daily from its docks!
If you’re looking for an affordable vacation destination with lots of activities nearby then consider north eastern Massachusetts at the very southwest point-Falmouth. The long stretch along Main Street has plenty places worth visiting such as Ocean House Books & Gallery which specializes in regional books and art.
Where are the best gardens in Cape Cod?
Heritage Museums & Gardens
Highfield Hall & Gardens
Green Briar Nature Center
Should I have a photo booth at my Cape Cod Wedding venue?
Absolutely! Photo booths allow for your guests to come together in a casual way. Some photo booths print out photo strips or 4×6 prints, while others give the option to email the photo! Be sure to phone the photobooth operators and ask about travel fees to Cape Cod weddings.
Should I stay at an inn, hotel, or rent a house?
Weddings bring together all sorts of people. Destination weddings at Cape Cod are a treat because most guests make a weekend out of it.
Some college friends and family members like to rent a big house. Pros to this is that you can spend some quality time together. There’s usually a kitchen in the house (and maybe at the inn) so that you can cook meals and enjoy each other’s company.
The pro is that sometimes, you want to socialize at the weddings, but then you want to come back to a hotel room to have introvert time!
What questions should I ask the Cape Cod wedding venues?
For weddings, what is the venue rental fee and what’s included ?
How many hours does the rental fee include for the venue,?
What is the overtime fee for the venue?
Is there accommodation at this country club, inn, or venue?
If not, what accommodations are close-by that you can recommend? (hotel, inn, airbnb, vrbo, b&b, etc)
What’s the payment plan for this wedding venue? How is it broken down?
If i need to contact the wedding coordinator, should I do this via phone or email?
