Wychmere Beach Club weddings have the special option of a private beach. It tops as one of my favorite Cape Cod wedding venues. I also love that this venue has a boat dock, which is awesome for sunset, and swimming pools, for early day lounging!

Wychmere Beach Club in Harwich Port has a beautiful Grand ballroom hall overlooking the water. This luxurious coastal venue features modern spaces for couples’ weddings, including a lawn space and stunning ballroom with white and wooden accents. Wychmere Beach Club is 30 minutes from Seagull beach.

Inside the luxurious Wychmere Beach Club ballroom hall, wooden beams support a white ceiling, while a modern grey hardwood floor runs underfoot. The ballroom property is a beautiful clean space to host your wedding ceremony and reception.

When looking at wedding venues, the experience of the coordinators is very important! Lindsay and Brooke both epitomize excellent service, and I have no doubts that they will take care of my couples and their families fully! They can organize, coordinate, and host weddings with their eyes closed!

Wequassett Resort and Golf Club weddings is one of my favorite Cape Cod wedding venues. Situated right on Pleasant Bay, many of their indoor spaces have gigantic windows so that your family, friends, and guests can enjoy the beautiful ocean view even while indoors. Many people consider Wequassett Resort and Golf Club one of the most perfect Cape cod beach wedding venues!

The Wequassett Resort and Golf Club resort can accommodate up to 300 guests. LiBAYtion is a private, outdoor space that was designed for cocktail hours or other gatherings with views of the ocean and the lush pool area.

Couples have two gorgeous waterfront options to hold their Wequassett Resort and Golf Club wedding ceremony, either on The Grand Lawn or The Garden Terrace property. The Garden Terrace is a tented structure with floor-to-ceiling accordion style glass doors that open up to Pleasant Bay. The outdoor terrace is private, romantic, minimalist style, and showcases incredible infinity views of the ocean and beach.

In the summer of 1914, the historic Chatham Bars Inn opened its doors and welcomed the world, beginning a tradition of gracious hospitality that lives on to this day. Prominent Boston stockbrocker Charles Ashley Hardy acquired the land in 1912, and within one year, the main inn, nine seaside cottages, and a golf course had been constructed. With deep-sea and harbor fishing available at its doorstep, the historic Chatham Bars Inn quickly became a popular hunting lodge for smortsmen.

The Chatham Bars Inn has hosted the Dutch Royal Family, Henry Ford, and William Rockefeller and became a year-round resort in 1988, with extensive renovations taking place over the course of several years. The result is a marriage of timeless character and classic historic New England charm with the sophisticated comforts of today.

This Chatham Bars Inn is huge, with plenty of spaces for guests to stay and make a weekend of out if, and plenty of dining spaces for cocktail hour and Cape Cod wedding venue receptions. My favorite restaurant is the Beach House Grill.

Chatham Bars Inn is one of the most ideal Cape Cod resort wedding venues because there’s ample space for accommodations, so that your guests can all stay in one place together. The waterfront hotel makes it so comfortable to host your friends and family. There’s lots of room. There is a beautiful garden to walk through. Having a private beach in Chatham is a dream, to be able to wake up to the Massachusetts coastal Atlantic Ocean.

Ocean Edge Resort is one of my favorites because guests make a big destination out of your wedding, and typically stay for the entire weekend. Ocean Edge Resort is an awesome choice for a Cape Cod wedding venue.

The property can host can host a maximum of 500 guests for their wedding at the Ocean Edge Resort. It is a lovely way to spend a waterfront weekend. The hotel has an amazing restaurant, and it’s a comfortable hall and hotel to host all of your guests.

“We held our wedding at this Cape Cod wedding venue in May, and the venue was absolutely great from start to finish – our guests really enjoyed the views of the ocean and the sunset as they gathered for drinks at the Ocean Terrace, the sea breeze and sounds of the waves during our beach ceremony, and the ambience and delicious dinner served at the Carriage House hall. Several of them came up to us afterward to comment on how much they enjoyed the food (lobster and seafood buffets especially), the atmosphere, and their overall experience, and how the weekend felt like a relaxing beach vacation for them.

“Look no further, The Popponesset Inn in New Seabury is one of the best wedding venues on Cape Cod for your wedding! Wilma was the absolute best and helped us pull off our wedding without any stress. Somehow, we pulled off a wedding in 8 weeks and it wouldn’t have happened without her! The rest of the staff was also amazing day of, as well as the food. The Ridge Club is one of Cape Cod’s most charming wedding venues.

The country club features beautiful garden event spaces surrounding the traditionally New England style clubhouse with a grey shingled roof, light-colored siding, and white accents. Rolling hills and gorgeous landscaping abounds, making the perfect locations for wedding portraits. With brick underfoot, this Cape Cod space is top-of-the-line classic elegance, which is rare in Cape Cod wedding venues. Inside, couples will find a garden-inspired indoor ballroom. It also seats up to 180 guests for dinner and dancing.

How much is a wedding on Cape Cod?

My couples spend between $50,000-$250,000 on their Cape Cod wedding in totality. The Knot revealed that couples in the Cape Cod region spent an average of $55,000 to wed last year, which I think is accurate for maybe a Wednesday wedding. Cape Cod does rank as fifth most expensive place for weddings among US regions surveyed by the Knot.

Can you get married on a private beach in Cape Cod?

Yes, and no. Some beaches require a fee and a license. Many venues have private beaches that are available to their wedding couples!

What is a good rain backup plan for a beach wedding?

When it rains in Cape Cod, it’s either a nice refreshing drizzle or a torrential downpour! Many Cape Cod wedding venues have a tent or a ballroom for a rain backup plan, which I would recommend if you’re having a Cape Cod wedding.

A wedding tent can be either a permanent structure, or a smaller 10×10″ tent, like the ones you see at outdoor farmer’s markets that are great for temporary tent structures that you can use in a pinch! Rest assured, we’re not talking REI camping tents. The style of most Cape Cod tented weddings are usually white in color and very classy.

How do I tour wedding venues Cape Cod?

Email them on their website to take a tour through their harbor, garden, tented areas, hotel room options and spaces for events. It’s important to visualize what your wedding will look like – whether it’s an indoor wedding reception, tented wedding reception, garden cocktail hour, and other harbor events.

Touring in person is always ideal, but during the pandemic, many Cape Cod wedding venues are also offering video virtual tours of their indoor reception spaces, hotel rooms, and of the entire location.

While looking at a photo or two is nice of Cape Cod wedding venues, it’s awesome to be able to go to the Massachusetts location to look at the hotel room that you’d be staying in, and really getting a feel for what it would be like to walk around the gardens.

Many couples tell me that when they tour wedding venues, they make a whole weekend out of it to see multiple at once! Give them all a ring on the phone so that you can stack all of your wedding venues tours together!

Is a country club a good option for a Cape Cod Wedding venue?

A Massachusetts country club is one of best places to find fun, friends and good times. There’s no other place like it for golfing or just kicking back with your pals at a refreshing drink by the pool while enjoying some tasty appetizers!

A private country club is an exclusive membership organization that has top-of-the line facilities such as an expansive golf course, stellar dining options, pro shops and more. These award winning establishments boast not only fantastic recreation but also provide social opportunities when you need them most – whether its meeting new people on one of their many activities lists or catching up with buddies over drinks during happy hour. Many of them also have hotel rooms and inn space for 200 guests or more to stay in.

A country club is a great option for a Cape Cod Wedding venue because many of these venues are award winning locations that are used to handling 200 guests and more.

Some have garden spaces, tented lounge areas, harbor views, and plenty of room for events. You can bet that the street is clean, the reception space is functional and attrative and of course – location, location, and location.

In additional to membership fees, country clubs are very used to hosting big events, especially when there are parties on the harbor!

Many couples like to host their events at golf clubs because they can walk down the street and be right at their abode. No need to worry about rambunctious drivers on the street because it’s a private location. Whether your indoor or outdoors, a country club is a great place to host your event.

What is the best town to stay at in Cape Cod?

Falmouth is a town in the southwestern tip of Cape Cod that makes for an ideal home base during your day trips to Martha’s Vineyard or even visits to Newport, Rhode Island. With many great shops and restaurants on Main Street, as well as some expansive walking trails outside of downtown Falmouth make it one you should visit if considering staying near Woods Hole Harbor where ferries depart daily from its docks!

If you’re looking for an affordable vacation destination with lots of activities nearby then consider north eastern Massachusetts at the very southwest point-Falmouth. The long stretch along Main Street has plenty places worth visiting such as Ocean House Books & Gallery which specializes in regional books and art.

Should I stay at an inn, hotel, or rent a house?

Weddings bring together all sorts of people. Destination weddings at Cape Cod are a treat because most guests make a weekend out of it.

Some college friends and family members like to rent a big house. Pros to this is that you can spend some quality time together. There’s usually a kitchen in the house (and maybe at the inn) so that you can cook meals and enjoy each other’s company.

The pro is that sometimes, you want to socialize at the weddings, but then you want to come back to a hotel room to have introvert time!
